The Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan established their diplomatic relation on 8 November, 1972. In December 2005, the Embassy of Vietnam in Islamabad was reopened and so was the Embassy of Pakistan in Ha Noi in 2000.

With more than two decades of  Economic Reform “Doi Moi” since 1986, Vietnam has gained excellent economic and social achievements, thus making the country into a very dynamic economy with high and stable economic growth and one of the best destinations to visit and to do business in the world.
